After my experience here, I would never recommend this park to anyone.

Great place. Everyone is so friendly, Very welcoming. Sites are clean. Only negative is bathroom could be cleaner near some sites that are used by tents.

Be careful when purchasing a used trailer in this park. I purchased a used trailer there. When I went to sell it 3 years later, they said I couldn't sell it due to water damage. I bought it from them, with this supposed water damage, and had been told it had been repaired. Even after offering to get a professional in to assess the trailer and to repair any damage that might be found, I was told no. They decided they "were invoking the over 10 year old trailer rule just because they could". They sold it to me when it was older than 10 years old. They told me I could resell it if I decided it wasn't for me. However, when I went to sell it, I was told that they changed their mind and they stated that they no longer wanted that trailer in their park. They were quite clear that it was their park and they could do what they wanted.

Enjoyed the weekend tent camping with my 3yr old son on a site next to the water. Everything is short walk away be it restaurant or beautiful Burliegh Falls. Best enjoyed after tourest season in my opinion.

Beware. There are Parks in the area with amenities that far surpass what you get at Lovesick Lake. Everything is old and run down. The swimming area is surrounded by boats-not very healthy for the children swimming in the water. The playground equipment is very old. The basketball court is usually covered with junk, so the kids can't even play there and the nets are broken. Other Parks in the area have rec centres, tennis courts, swimming pools, updated playground equipment..and lots of other things for families to enjoy.

I had a professional go on site and assess the situation and was told the trailer was fine and easily repairable. The park owners informed other people, who were interested in purchasing the trailer, that it and the Florida room attached were water damaged. Again, I had it assessed. It was fine.

The rental cottage could be more clean really but the setting is great, there is a beach, restaurant, it is pet and kids friendly.

The lot my trailer was on was close to the water. There were other challenges the park owners were facing when the Township became involved over a complaint. Getting rid of my trailer was one way to deal with the situation quickly.

New to Lower Buckhorn Lake. Had lunch here today and got the Greek Wrap. Taste was okay, but it was more of a Greek soft taco that came pinned together in tin foil. Was a total pain in the ass to eat. $12.99 I think? Also, nothing on the sandwiches and wraps menu came with a side - certainly made the price of a simple lunch very expensive. Won't be recommending it to my renters. Staff was very friendly and there is a great touristy gift shop.
